Content Policy.
Content Policy.
Big Boss Battle (B3) is a website made by, and for, people who love video games and the games industry.
At its core it’s simply an overgrown blog, still encapsulating the nature of a gaming blog, although also striving to generate coverage in the quantities of the larger outlets.
While we do not issue scores on our reviews — as we believe more in expressing opinions in words rather than numbers — we do adhere to a set of ethical guidelines, as well as set content standards.
Our Outlook.
It’s going to sound cheap and cheesy, but we’re very respectful of people who grab onto their dreams and try to make them a reality.
We believe that every game started with a (sometimes internal) pitch, and that pitch started with a humble idea.
We love the humble idea.
As such we always aim to cover any game with a view to that creator’s intent, and we always aim to give our feedback on the game, and our experiences, in a constructive manner, giving feedback rather than exaggeration-based criticism.
[h]With our reviews and coverage we work on a SWOT system[/h]
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
To drop a well-known quote from Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray – “…there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.” What we mean by this quote is that, if we deem a game of zero interest to even one of our team then we will simply not cover it.
This as opposed to making an article simply dedicated to listing only negatives — it will receive zero coverage from ourselves (as well as the games we, unfortunately, do not get time to cover), meaning there will be nothing to be misquoted or attacked in the absence of reason.
Stance on Prejudice.
Every person is different.
We are a social species, uniting once we find – or make – something in common with one another.
Repulsion, distaste and distrust towards things we don’t understand or relate to is a common reaction for humans, but we simply must try harder.
Hateful language, and discrimination against any other group or person, will not be tolerated — and our editing team will always endeavour to ensure our team avoid prejudice wherever possible.
We are all different, everyone.
[h]My favourite Final Fantasy was FF9[/h]
I enjoyed Brink, I didn’t have fun playing Super Meat Boy, I really liked Arcanum.
You may disagree with me on any (or all) of these points, I hope we can discuss our differences and enjoy agreeing-to-disagree like members of the fantastical, vocal species that we are.
If, for some reason, you can’t talk things over in a rational sense or descend into madness and lies, then you’re probably going to have a lot of trouble fitting in with — and talking to — our team and readers.
On Reviews and their Scores.
We’ve nothing against a scoring system, however we’ve found from past experience that simply too much credit and pressure is laid on the final scoring of a title,  and that having them encourages people to glaze over the article looking for the score.
A title may massively impress one contributor, but baffle and annoy another.
As such we always aim to have somebody comfortable with the genre review a title, as they are better adept to get the hang of the mechanics.
That said, our reviews still focus on identifying the ideas behind the game, features which work well, and others which are lacking.
As most games now undergo revisions and patches following launch our review content will be current to the date of posting unless otherwise stated — like if we were privy to a closed review build pre-launch.
If we revisit content post launch (like on a major update, .
[h]Or after DLC) we will state the version reference where possible[/h]On Features, First Impressions, and Reviews Clarity.
The above items refer to analytical pieces on games during different stages of their development, it also refers to the nature of the situation under which the game was experienced by the author.
Below we’ve detailed the factors that go into the classification of these three content types Review.
We only differentiate Previews and First Impressions based on the amount of time spent on the game, or the state of the game.
When we review a game that is not yet fully deemed complete (1.0) then we will endeavour to state its version number/reference in the review.
We will accept codes for games if we feel it will help us get a thorough review/article out in a timely manner.
If we accept any boosts/microtransactional bonuses then we will state it in the review. If we have had to source the code ourselves then we will publish it as close to the release date as we can manage what with having to play an adequate amount of the game as to review mechanics and content.
We consider review events ‘guided hands’, and will always state when we have attended such.
We will also state any travel or expenses covered by publishers, .
[h]PR Teams or Developers should it relate to a product we are covering[/h]If, following attendance of such an event we are told we cannot disclose our attendance, or anything which was paid for, then we will not publish any material from the event as to avoid conflict of interest.
For the benefit of the doubt, please assume all reviews are through keys provided by developers, PR, or publishers for the purpose of review.
As further disclosure it should be stated that we allow our reviewers to keep the copy of the game they have reviewed.
Additional paraphernalia for the game that would normally be found in collector’s editions will be accepted as gifts, however unrelated products, or money for reviews, will not be accepted or will instead be donated to charity / given away via community pages with full disclosure on their source.
That or we will simply refuse the review/preview.
Preview.
A preview is an article written up on a game which is not available to the public at time of writing.
This can be a game in a closed beta, or one played while at a private event.
As with reviews we will state when we have played a game at a preview event run by a Publisher, PR Team, or Dev.
[h]Previews tend to be more speculative on the nature of the game[/h]
optimistically considering the opportunities the game currently has, while also underlining the current threats – and any difficulties – with the game First Impressions/Hands On.
A First Impressions, or Hands On, article is a bit of a vague term.
We use it when we have been playing through a public demo, event build, or simply haven’t played a game for enough time as to form a preview or review on it.
While this still follows the analytical style of the two, previously stated, article types, these focus more on the potential seen in the mechanics and style of the game during the author’s limited time with the game.
Crowdfunding and Involvement.
The way that game development — and the industry in general — works has changed massively over the last 10 years.
There’re more people developing games now than there ever has been, social media and globalisation has made the world smaller, and the means to fund a game have completely changed.
Combine the above with the fact that people freely move through journalist, to blogger, to developer, to marketeer, to community and press relations, or that people frequent events within the same region… There is a great likelihood of friendships, relationships, and such developing off the back of this.
An industry cannot ban, or chastise friendships.
[h]Because who can tell when Sam from accounts is going to spin off and make a game[/h]
or express an opinion on something with a blog.
However, we have implemented a few controls to ensure a standard of disclosure through our coverage.
If a member of B3 has contributed via Kickstarter to a campaign then it will be disclosed with any of their coverage of the title.
[h]If a member of B3 is related to[/h]
has contributed to, or is actively funding (through donations, or Patreon) or supporting (monetary, residential, etc) somebody’s project then the title will not be covered on the website by that person in the news, video, or reviews section.
Editorials, Submissions, or Op-Eds are welcome however, but, the author (be it the one connected or not) will state their connections at the start of the article.
All that said, we will not in any way limit or attempt to control the opinions of our contributors or team.
It is a human right to have an opinion and be able to express it.
So, I don’t want any of this “He said, she said” jibber-jabber — and nobody will be pulled up on buying a cup of coffee for someone else in the industry.
Affiliations, Advertisements, and Outbound Links.
As of 2018 B3 will begin using affiliation links and light advertising to attempt to raise funds to pay our (otherwise unpaid) authors, and possibly even start to pay for server and hosting costs.
Affiliation.
Our stance on affiliation and advertisements are simple; we won’t allow either to affect our coverage, or to denote what we cover.
Firstly because that completely undermines our aim, secondly because that’s not cool at all and finally, it sounds like a whole bunch of effort.
Honestly, who wants to write about something you don’t even like while likely compromising your integrity.
Not us.
There’s multiple ways to tell if a link is an affiliation link; You’ll notice a prolonged URL when you click through a link, and if you’re running a cookie tracker then you’ll probably see a new one fly up.
Finally, a lot of our affiliation partners are kind enough to flag up exactly how many pennies would go to us from your transaction; and it’s worth noting that you can normally opt out at the checkout.
There is, of course, no obligation for you to click through any affiliation links.
If you find the concept abysmal then simply don’t click them.
Adverts.
A quick word on adverts.
We really hate pop-ups, we hate auto-run videos, and we hate being told how “This X from <your town> won <yourcurrency>1,000,000 this way” — so you won’t find any of that rubbish on the site.
What you will find at times is a background advert, or a sidebar advert, or possibly an advert between a few entires on an archive roll.
These will all be plain to see, and probably even be blocked by your ad-block.
That said, goodness me we’ll avoid everything invasive and the hope is that we’ll just be running images as ads.
But,.
Please do remember — having read all of this — that we have chosen these routes as they are the least invasive ways for the website to make money and pay our lovely writers.
If you think of a better one though, please do let us know.
Finally….
While we’re going to run some lists, and the like, we will avoid marketing psychology in our titles, even in satire.
There’s too much of it out there, it’s making the internet hard to navigate.
This is a website for people to use their opinions and experiences to explain their view on the strengths, weaknesses, potential, and quality of titles… we don’t need to muddy that.
– —– – This policy will be updated from time to time based on the actions of the industry.
If you feel we’ve missed something in this document then please contact us and we will remedy it as best, and quickly, as we can.
Whew.

SAP Business One for professional services.
SAP Business One for professional services The professional services business is all about delivering services that delight your customers.
If the delivery of services is not organised and your team is not optimally utilised, the business will suffer from low profit margins and low customer satisfaction.
This challenge is experienced by every kind of professional services provider: management consultants, maintenance services, information technology, software development, marketing and scientific services.
We work closely with professional services companies to deliver SAP Business One implementations that help them optimise their staff, manage costs and provide outstanding customer service.
For example, a leading software development company came to us for help with tracking all the expenses and services delivered by more than 100 software developers and consultants via multiple subsidiary companies around the world.
[h]How SAP Business One and APH can benefit professional services companies:[/h]
Manage costs.
One of the biggest challenges is the ability to manage costs within a specific job or project.
Part of the problem is the control of invoicing which, given the number of individual inputs, can be a long and complicated manual process without a capable system.
Often, standard ERP or accounting packages are not able to help professional services companies measure the true profitability relating to the delivery of services for each customer project.
[h]SAP Business One from APH allows you to track costs quickly and efficiently[/h]
Managing time.
Professional services businesses rely heavily on the optimal use of staff and sub-contractor time on site.
A common issue is capturing the necessary information to be able to charge clients with confidence.
With working out in the field, it can be tricky to ensure timesheets are completed in a timely manner.
However, providing employees with mobile and portal applications through SAP Business One can help bridge this gap.
Ensuring this process is efficient means your company’s cash-flow is maintained at a healthy level.
With a distributed workforce, keeping track of purchase requests and their associated costs can be a challenge.
Being able to track purchases by project helps project managers to manage the purchase spend on the project.
It is an objective of the purchasing team to ensure components/services are bought at the right price to meet the budget of the project.
Having a system with the ability to track purchase quotations means businesses can keep track of their suppliers.
For external workers, a mobile application equipped to raise purchase requests saves on unnecessary duplication of work and streamlines the process.

What is Cloud ERP: 10 Reasons Why You Need Cloud-Based ERP.
Posted by | | | | Enterprise resource planning, better known as ERP, is a highly-valued management software that is used to help businesses automate storage, accounting, marketing, management and so forth.
[h]What most businesses don’t comprehend is just how valuable a cloud-based ERP can be[/h]
So, what is cloud ERP.
Here we explain it in simple words and provide you ten reasons why you should switch to a cloud-based ERP solution.
What is Cloud ERP.
[h]10 Reasons Why You Need Cloud-Based ERP Adam Butchart April[/h]
18 2017 WHAT IS CLOUD ERP: Cloud-based ERP Explained.
Cloud based systems are becoming more and more popular as we progress through our era of technology, .
[h]So why should businesses be using the cloud with ERP[/h]The main benefit is that you can access stored data remotely through the internet, which can make things easier when you’d like to manage your business from your house, our while traveling.
[h]Here are 10 reasons why you need a cloud-based ERP[/h]
REASON 1.
THE UPFRONT COST.
On average, cloud based ERPs generally require a lower investment rate and is set up faster than on premise systems.
[h]There is a very no-fuss feeling about cloud ERPs[/h]
as you require very little hardware, software, servers, and services – if any at all.
It’s a well-known fact, of which most businesses may already know, that on-premise ERP systems usually require an unnecessarily large upfront cost followed by multiple ongoing payments/investments in order to keep the ERP running smoothly.
Over time – those IT savings you saved by using a cloud based system add up at an alarming rate.
In fact, .
[h]Studies have found that cloud-based ERP’s can cost 50% less than an on-site ERP[/h]REASON 2.
REAL-TIME MONITORING.
You can monitor your business 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Most small/new businesses benefit from cloud-based ERP’s because they don’t require an IT team that must maintain your system (these can be very expensive, and are not necessary for new businesses.) Using the cloud, there is no need to hire someone to constantly observe your system and check it over for performance issues or faults.
REASON 3.
ACCESSIBILITY.
As mentioned earlier, you can manage your business anywhere there is internet access, and most importantly – you can rest assured that this data is all 100% secure.
You will have the ability to make important business decisions no matter where you are located, whether it be on your laptop, mobile device or tablet.
For example, you are sent on your first business trip, a very important one that determines the success of your newly founded business.
At the meeting, which is miles away from your head office – you receive the news that your employees have not been paid and there is an issue with your payroll system.
No worries.
[h]Simply log on to your ERP system from your internet capable device[/h]
fix the issue (which may require help from a 24/7 support team) and voila, problem solved.
[h]If this had happened with an on-premise ERP[/h]
you would have the burden of stress as you fumble around calling IT companies to travel to your office to fix the issue at hand.
It’s a very big time and money waster.
REASON 4.
AUTO-UPDATES.
This is a given with any software – there will be updates.
Whether that’s for security purposes or functionality reasons, you will have updates you’ll have to engage at some point.
A good idea here would be to install your updates (any large ones) overnight.
This means you can rest easy knowing you’re not losing any valuable time having to wait for your system to update.
While this may sound daunting, it’s actually very good for your business in the long run.
For example, new features can be added to your ERP by a simple update downloaded from the ERP’s servers.
[h]You couldn’t have this much freedom & functionality with an on-premise ERP[/h]
The software wouldn’t allow for such large updates.
You’d likely have to hire IT personnel to install the updates, and it would take time and money you can’t afford to lose.
Some features could include ecommerce, payroll, analytics and so forth.
REASON 5.
DEEP CLOUD INTEGRATION.
This has to be the most important feature, as you can manage your whole business (ecommerce, POS, payroll, etc.) right from your phone or advice.
Another word for this process is integration, where you allow your system(s) to import data from various other platforms in order to create one super-like ERP.
Integration is key with any cloud based system.
[h]You may need to export old business files to your new ERP[/h]
and having this procedure cloud based makes it incredibly easy to export and import new/old files needed for your business.
REASON 6.
SECURITY.
This is often the top concern for ERP buyers.
With a cloud based ERP – all your financial statistics, trade secrets, employee information and so forth is all stored in servers we know as the cloud.
However – these concerns were brought to life when the ‘cloud’ hit the market and began making worldwide headlines.
We now have 10+ years of history using the cloud and buyers are now much less skeptical than they used to be.
With a cloud based ERP, your data is in your hands, the way it should be.
You do however have the chance to allow access to other partners of your business without the hassle of having to go through an expensive IT/Security team.
If you’re still not 100% satisfied with the safety aspect, buyers can seek a third-party security team to fully secure your business files.
REASON 7.
CUSTOMIZATION.
With a simple click of a button – you can integrate ecommerce into your ERP and set up who is in control of what.
It becomes easier to scale services, also.
This becomes an advantage when it’s time to grow your business.
If employees in different departments have access to your business’ ERP, they may have the option to create profiles for themselves introducing what they offer to the company and how to contact them.
This is also an advantage for the manager of the business, who can allow & restrict access to whatever he/she requires to keep confidential.
REASON 8.
DATA REALISM.
Businesses implementing a cloud based ERP have the opportunity to review their data in a more frequent manner, where they may notice just how much of a wake-up call it is.
This may initiate a cleanup process of which the manager(s) may decide to change a few aspects of their business based on the accurately displayed data the manager is now seeing.
This can save a lot of time and money in the long run, and is a very important and key factor in any business.
REASON 9.
FEWER OBLIGATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES.
It’s no joke that onside hardware malfunctions/complications are almost inevitable, and troubleshooting these issues can be an incredibly frustrating experience.
However, with a cloud-based ERP, this is the ERP vendor’s problem, you don’t have to worry about a thing and may continue running your business as per usual.
REASON 10.
FREEDOM.
A main factor why cloud based ERP’s are becoming more and more popular comes from the fact that you have limitless options regarding an ERP system that ticks all the boxes for your company.
You may also have the opportunity to talk to an external consultant regarding which ERP system suits your business perfectly.
You may very well wish for external ERP experts to choose your system for you, have them set it up and show you the ins and outs of how to drive your business to ultimate success.
So, what is cloud ERP.
The cloud has often been described as an ‘evergreen’ service – where there is no risk whatsoever of this technology ever becoming obsolete, in other words it’s here to stay.
As mentioned earlier, there are infinite possibilities when it comes to software updates and introducing new and improved features to your ERP.
There’s absolutely no reason to have to rip out your old software and replace it with the new.
All of this makes a compelling case on just how beneficial a cloud based ERP can be to your business.
There’s one concept that’s recurring throughout all the factors listed in this article.
And that is how your business can save time and money by implementing a cloud based ERP.
It’s no shock that such a simple process can be so beneficial, and there’s a good reason behind this, which is how the cloud has proved its financial value – a prime factor in any business venture.
A lot of the time, and for most businesses / companies – the advantages of cloud based ERP’s far outweigh the negatives.
[h]Cloud ERP is rapidly emerging industry of competitive solutions[/h]
We have reviewed some of them in our article Quickbooks Alternatives.
By implementing a cloud based ERP, you can gain the freedom you deserve when running your business.
Although more importantly, you can focus on doing what you do best, selling the products and services your business offers.
